Washington Skeleton™

David Adjaye, 2013
Knoll, U.S.A.

David Adjaye's cantilevered chairs establish a play between propping and balancing, so that they are simultaneously functional and sculptural. Washington Skeleton™ is reduced to a fine geometric lattice while its inverted counterpoint, Washington Skin™, offers a colourful envelope to the same form.

Skeleton's cast-aluminum frame is available with a powder coat paint finish, suitable for outdoor or indoor use, or a copper or nickel plating.

Powder coat paint finishes are suitable for outdoor use. Copper plating is recommended for indoor use only, as copper plating will patina over time. Seat and legs are constructed of die-cast aluminum. Legs connect to seat with mortise and tenon joint.
