Herman Miller Chair Lounge Eames Soft Pad

Aluminum Group chairs began as a challenge among legendary designers. Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard were designing the Columbus, Indiana, home of J. Irwin Miller, founder of Cummins Engines. They wanted a high-quality seating product for outdoor use and asked Charles and Ray Eames to develop one. The Eameses accepted.

Clean-lined, high-backed, and available in 2 seat heights, the Soft Pad Group’s lightweight lounge chair by Charles and Ray Eames is classic and contemporary. Featuring the same innovative seat-back suspension as its predecessor, the Eames Aluminum Group, its plush cushions deliver additional comfort. A matching ottoman extends that comfort.
