Foscarini Caboche Suspension Lamp

Sophisticated, brilliant and multi-faceted, the Caboche ceiling lamp is a mosaic of refractions, a perfect fusion of various personalities within a single form, that combine to create the body and lighting effect of the lamp. The transparent polymethylmethacrylate balls multiply the brightness of the central lighting source and being arranged with a characteristic ring layout, they allow strong lighting reflected off the ceiling and directed on to the surface below. The lighting source is left free to illuminate all around: the upper matt white glass screen guarantees optimum diffusion of light upwards, and the lower screen has a concave form to shield the bulb and prevent dazzling, thus making Caboche ideal for use above dining room tables. Furthermore, despite its high personal charge, the lamp’s transparency multiplies colour combination potential, for use in the home or in sophisticated, exclusive public areas. In the new LED versions, affording high energy efficiency levels and durability, Foscarini wanted to retain all the emotion of the original model. For this reason, after a lengthy lighting technology design project developed by Foscarini, the new version with LED light retains the unmistakable effect of this lamp, in which every sphere recreates the image of the light source inside it and of its surroundings.
